After seeing today's manufactured Drudge poll, of Obama shirtless being rated lower than Putin shirtless; it really makes me wonder about what Drudge is really getting at.
UPDATE: I wrote this diary with the poll as a metaphor for the broader sociological problems that Drudge's (and people who act like him) attitude and conduct has.
I was attempting to make some serious observations
However as a side note, I would like to address the people who simply want to talk about who would win in a fight, Putin or Obama - I didn't even see that element in the poll in the first place, but since its been brought to my attention it is quite obvious that Obama would pull a Buddha-esque feat and completely dissolve Putins aggression with his awesome-like grasp of the true workings of reality, and the interactions of order to chaos. By the time the fight was over, Putin would have joined Obama's quest for true change, and spread compassion and hope all around the world.
UPDATE:
So that being said, please make some comments about my argument of extremism missing the big picture of trying to make our country better, even if it means supporting someone in another party (or refusing to support, or decrying, the activities of someone in your own party)
I think we need to point out instances when people don't do this, and define that as unpatriotic, because that is the purest form of it.
acting in a way that is not in America's best interests,
blindly supporting a party whether or not it means supporting the idea of America succeeding.
(Usually through ignorance)

His unblinking support of the far right, and his undoubted hatred of the left, is so blind to what is going on that it seems like he would sacrifice america if it would let him take a stab at obama or the democrats.
as long as he fosters sentiment against the democrats, he doesn't care if he destroys his own country
the way he approaches things is as if he doesnt realize there is a world outside of america
it just is scary to me in how closely it mirrors the views of a large portion of our country. some people fail to realize we are a country, talking bad about our leaders is fine, when you think they are doing something wrong, but talking bad about them before they do anything at all, and hoping they fail . . .
thats anti american
and hoping people feel more patriotic about shirtless putin than shirtless obama, while obviously having a comical air, shows what drudge really tries to inspire when hes being reckless (im assuming here that him doing it comically meant that he wasn't putting it too much thought into it - just a natural fun thing to do for him)
its a little creepy
makes me think of sociopaths
that kind of extreme behavior
whenever it is present, in republicans, in democrats, in human beings
its unhealthy for anyone who comes in contact with it
